A New Adventure
It's the possibility that keeps me going, not the guarantee.

Friends, we're so excited to share with you that Norah is going to become a big sister this January and our hearts are so full!
Now, to be completely honest I’ve struggled to write this post — for many reasons. Knowing intimately the weight pregnancy announcements carry when I’m not the one doing the announcing, I’ve prayed over every single word.
But even more than that, the emotions of this are, well, a whole thing.
With this new adventure comes a lot of uncharted territory for us: pregnancy after losing Norah, navigating the evolution of my motherhood without my own mother, and becoming parents to two kiddos with one on earth and one in heaven.
It’s a complex journey both emotionally and spiritually and there is just so much to talk about; I’m so looking forward to sharing this new phase of our lives with you.
But right now, let’s celebrate.
Over the past year-and-a-half we’ve learned how truly precious each day is; as annoying as cliches are, sometimes you really do have to take it one day at a time.
And friends, today is good.
I recently heard Liz Curtis Higgs speak at a conference and something she said sums it up so beautifully: “The gospel doesn’t say ‘Tomorrow is the day the Lord has made.’ No. It says ‘THIS is the day the Lord has made. That means TODAY. So let us rejoice and be glad in it.’”
